I ended up spending most of my Sunday at the pool at the Golden Tulip hotel. It was just the right amount of relaxation that I needed.

This week I finally received the go ahead with invitations and fund raising. I sent out about 50 invitations to the business plan launch in Accra on Friday. Today I found out that the World Bank is going to step in and help with fund raising, which lifts a huge burden off of my shoulders.

Tomorrow I am representing AABN at an economics conference hosted by the British Council. The main topic is the economic effects of Ghana's budget deficits and currency devaluations.

Not much else is going on. This weekend we are going to try to go to Akusombo for a river cruise, and some sightseeing at the Boti waterfalls.

I don't think I've covered who my fellow coworkers are at AABN. There is Laura, a Romanian who recently graduated from a college in New York. There is Sarah, an economics student at York University in England. There is Minsoo, a former consultant from South Korea. And finally there is Ravi, a fellow refugee from JP Morgan in New York. Small world, huh?
